  • Dr. Lee Berk - Associate Professor of Health Promotion and Education, School of Public Health and Associate Research Professor of Pathology and Human Anatomy, School of Medicine, Loma Linda University.
  • Judy Carter - Humorist, author and motivational speaker, brings her “Laughing Your Way Through Stress” message to corporate audiences and organizations for instant relief, lasting retention, and renewed spirits.
  • Dr. Paul McGhee – Pioneer in humor research and has laid the groundwork for the current interest in the health benefits of humor.  Conducted basic research on humor and laughter for over 22 years while teaching at the university level. He is internationally known for his own humor research, and has published over 50 scientific articles and 13 books on humor.

  • Dr. Bill Fry - Psychiatrist and Professor Emeritus of Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also a recognized humor researcher and perhaps the most influential person to effect the growth and development of therapeutic humor over the last 50 years.

  • Kathy Buckley – Comedienne, award-winning actress, accomplished author, and renowned inspirational speaker.  Billed as ” America’s First Hearing Impaired Comedienne”, Kathy Buckley is also a five-time American Comedy Award Nominee as Best Stand-Up Female Comedienne. Kathy is known for her guest starring roles on shows such as Touched by an Angel, and for her critically acclaimed one woman Off-Broadway show, Don’t Buck with Me/Now Hear This!

  • Steven M. Sultanoff, Ph.D. – Psychologist, professor, professional speaker, past AATH president, and mirthologist. For 25 years Steve has immersed himself in therapeutic humor and is recognized for his innovative work that has advanced the field. He is frequently quoted in the media (Prevention, USA Today, Newsweek, Parents, Vogue, Self, etc.), and has appeared on The Morning Show, Lifetime, and PBS. He has written numerous articles advancing therapeutic humor, and has published a pioneering chapter on humor in psychotherapy in Play Therapy with Adults.

  • Ed Dunkelblau, Ph.D. – Psychologist, sex therapist and humorist for over 30 years. He is a Lifetime Achievement Award Winner from AATH and in 2009 was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from Columbia University Teachers College.  His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, USA Weekend, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Jet magazine, Reader’s Digest, on NPR and on CNN. He is a contributing author to the books Humor and Wellness in Clinical Intervention and The Handbook of Humor and Psychotherapy.
  • Steve Rizzo – Bestselling author of “Becoming A Humor Being,” a Writer’s Digest Award winning book. Professional comedian with appearances that include: Showtime Special, Evening at the Improv, The Comedy Channel, and Fox TV-Comic Strip Live. Media consultant (MSNBC, CNBC, and Oprah and Friends Radio Network).  Creator and Executive Producer of his own PBS Special.  Speakers Hall of Fame Inductee receiving the Council of Peers Award of Excellence (CPAE); an award bestowed to such greats as Art Linkletter, Ronald Regan and Tony Robbins.
